Community based model

The aim of the Goseva scheme is to rekindle the interest and enable a large number of people participate in Goseva so that the benefit of Goseva is received by one and all. Keeping in mind the current situation where- in even seeing a cow has become almost impossible, Govindan Goshala has now embarked on a scheme whereby interested people can contribute a sum of Rs 100 per month for Goseva. The entire proceeds shall be entirely used for Goseva.

The intention is to make, over a period of time, thousands of people aware and take part in Goseva and get the benefit of Goseva.

Self sustaining model

Currently most of the Goshalaas are dependent on the contributions of a few individual donors. Hence Gosevaa has been confined to a few people.

It is necessary to make this a community effort so that

  • The benefit of Gosevaa will accrue to the entire community

  • The goshalaas can be maintained well and in perpetuity.

The Goshalaas can make products like Vibhuti, Panchagavya medicines , ghee, cow dung cakes for religious purposes, Cow based cosmetics, disinfectants etc and become self sustaining over a period of time.

This way more Goshalaas will be set up and Gosevaa will become a way of life as before.

Real Goseva

More over once the cow based agricultural products gain wider usage, organic farming will become attractive and the villagers will also be ready to keep cows which is the ultimate purpose.

Goseva volunteers in each area will do the coordination in this connection.

Pure Vibhuti made in our Goshala as per traditional method by performing Viraja homam shall be given as Prasaadam. Vibhuti is Ishwaryam( GoddessLakshmi )

All are requested to participate and get the Blessings of Gomaathaa.
